She picked general anaesthesia because of her low pain tolerance and her imagination could have caused her to panic.
Because there were no differences in risk between general and local, for this patient being awake for her procedure was not realistic and could have forced us to stop.

Fat transfer is fundamentally different from adding volume with hyaluronic acid fillers.

When you receive a syringe of a product like Restylane or Juvéderm, you get a precise, one to one change in volume.

Fat does not behave in this same way.

The fat itself lacks that defined structural volume and is more diffuse by nature.

This characteristic can be seen as both a pro and a con.

Personally, I prefer the natural and softer feel fat gives.
