Working on that foot slap control! 🎉 Using a therapy band helps assist with dorsiflexion during swing phase and heel contact — giving great input and feedback to the foot 👣 You can even see him becoming more aware of his movement once the band comes off! 💪

We are so thankful to each and every human, big or small, that has stepped foot inside of our doors over the last decade. We feel so honored you chose us to be a part of your child’s healing journey. You are the why that kept us going day in and day out despite the challenges of being a small business in healthcare serving the most vulnerable in our community. This journey has taught every single one of us resilience, fortitude, compassion, and determination

We have loved watching your littles meet goals, master milestones, and thrive! We learned early on that the caregivers and families were just as important as the patients we treated. Your love and dedication to helping your children is the life force behind their successes. We cried together. We held each other on some really hard days and we jumped up and down for joy when they rolled for the first time, said their first word, used their AAC device alone, ate new foods, or used a tool to regulate their little bodies. Every baby step matters to us just as much as it matters to you and that’s what makes us different.

We embody love, connection, and compassion in all that we do. We embrace all neurotypes and all abilities at Open Door celebrating every souls unique journey. Like we say to our kiddos, slow and steady wins the race — everyone goes at their own pace. No one is ever left behind ,we’re right where we need to be.

We would not be here without the support of our community, our family, our friends, and our partners. We are blessed beyond measure to be given the joy and opportunity to be helping children and families heal each and every day. We see you. And we love you. We see your silent battles navigating the life of an extra needs child and we stand beside you every step of the way. We are stronger together, today and everyday.

Our Story

We specialize in pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapies. Our facility features a world-class sensory gym, cutting-edge low-stimulation "Snoezelen" room, feeding therapy room, art therapy room, fine motor room, and theme room. Our waiting room is designed to pamper caregivers and siblings with massage chairs, noise-cancelling headphones, complementary snacks and drinks, Kindle Fire Kids Edition tablets, HDTV's, and many other comforts.
