How to be sure we’re the right space for you…

When someone is interested in joining True North Performance, we make sure we don’t leave any stone unturned.

We want to make sure with extreme certainty that we can help you.

We also want YOU to make sure that being a client of True North Performance is 100% what you want.

The first step for anyone looking to get started begins with a free consultation. We will sit down for however long it takes to get all of the information we need. This typically takes 45 minutes to an hour.

We will talk about past exercise history, past injuries, current aches and pains, specific goals, the ā€œwhysā€ behind those goals, how much of a priority it is to accomplish these goals, what it would mean if you reached those goals in 6 months from now, and more.

If you’re looking to join a space that focuses truly on YOU, we might be a good fit.

Starting with the consult is the first step so we can make sure.

Send us a message to schedule your free consult.

Wondering what it looks like once you actually become a client at True North Performance?

We get this question a lot.

The first thing to know is that before we let ANYONE join, we do a consult.

We are extremely invested in helping our clients reach their goals, so we only let people join if we are confident we can help them.

If we agree that we are the perfect fit to help you reach your goals, then you begin your journey with us! šŸ™‚

This consists of four phases: Assess, Acclimate, Ascend, and Reclaim.

Your journey is cyclical with the ever-present phase of ā€œAssessā€ sitting in the middle of the other three phases.

You begin with the Assess phase and our professionals will use that phase whenever you need it to learn about you and test new boundaries, skills, and set baselines for goals.

After the initial Assess phase, you will move into the Acclimate phase. Here everyone will do some level of individual sessions with a professional which will be built using custom programming based on their assessment.

During the Acclimate phase, you will develop the autonomy of movement and habits allowing you to either move into a customized, autonomous group training environment or continue private sessions.

This will begin your Ascend phase.

Upon mastering the application of proper intensity of all movements, you will move into the Reclaim phase. Here you will continue with your customized programming, adding individual sessions as needed, and you will also be guided in your pursuit to reclaim the active life you’ve always wanted.

Interested in seeing if we can help you or someone you know reclaim their active life and get back to doing the things they love?

No matter what, do the right thing. Our values are navigational beacons to make sure we’re staying true to our mission.

> Truth, always

Speaking the truth in every situation allows for full transparency in the client/coach partnership. It is how we build trust. Truth is spoken respectfully and consistently.

> Integrity

Do the right thing for the right reasons even when no one is watching. The rest will take care of itself.

> People first mentality

When we are working with a client or programming for a client, they feel as if they are our only client. We listen, practice understanding and empathy, and take appropriate actions to guide them to their goal.

> Growth mindset

We work everyday to improve knowledge and skills, learn from mistakes, understand that growth is a process and takes time. We listen and learn then assess and apply. We adapt easily and win consistently.

ā€œBecause you know I'm all about that bass, ā€˜Bout that bassā€¦ā€ Let’s GO!

Base coat is up, phase 1 of painting completed. Phase 2 on deck.

The consult space is primed, painted, and ready for furniture.

The installation crew is ready and waiting for the word on the flooring delivery. (Flooring is scheduled to be here early this week. šŸ™šŸ¼).

This space is going to break the mold of a traditional gym set up.
We are building the healthcare clinic of the future.

December 1st was THE most exciting day for me and for the future of the gym and I couldn’t be there to celebrate it. It felt like buying a brand new car or dream home and then having the salesman give the keys to someone else. That was hard.

Circumstances are what they are… I was away on a business trip, and physically could not be there to open up the new space.

Thankfully I am surrounded by an inner circle that makes me whole.

Coach Nik jumped into action and ran things when I couldn’t be there. He coached clients and classes, sold equipment, rearranged the floor every time something sold, and stayed on top of his coursework. šŸ˜Ž

Thank you to Paul, Coach Tracy, my mom and sisters for your help so we stay in front of our deadlines and deliveries while still focusing on our clients. ā¤ļø

Thanks also to Kyle Scharenbroch for being Mr Fix-it at a moment’s notice and Steven Krajewski for your daredevil equipment dismantling (and a few heart palpitating moments). 🤯

To my besties, Nikki and Jen, who are two of my biggest cheerleaders and moral support squad. Thanks for the U-Haul adventure.

Here’s a few progress pictures of where we’re at on Day 4 (current and new location)….

We believe that excellence should be felt the moment you walk thru the door. And we are in the midst of creating something excellent.

In the coming weeks, we’ll share more about the people we help, how we help them, the impact our services have, and a peek at our new location.

We are building something amazing and our next chapter starts today.

So many things are possible when you close the door on the past and focus on the journey ahead of you.

This can be a very exciting time. It can also be nerve wracking because change is hard. Pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone is... uncomfortable and yet that's where the magic happens.

It is incredibly rewarding to work on yourself because the payoff can be shared with so many. Not only are you a better version of yourself but you are also showing up differently for those closest to you.

Today, you are writing a new chapter. YOU hold the pen. What does your next chapter look like?

āž”ļøIf you are already working towards a goal, keep going.

āž”ļøIf you are currently making important changes in your life, keep moving forward.

āž”ļøIf you want to make changes but aren't sure where to start, reach out to us. Let's talk.

Change is possible. You hold the pen... what will you write?

Big things are in the works at True North Performance and we can NOT be more excited about them. Stay tuned….

Ahhhh, the holidays. They are officially underway and kicks off a season of eating.

If you have anxiety about the all the holiday spreads, treats, and sweets ahead, take heart. The weeks between Thanksgiving and New Years do not need to derail your progress.

There are some simple strategies you can use to enjoy all the food without taking you off track.

First, take a minute to pause. Take a deep breath, and:

1. Stop and smell. Appreciate the smell of your food.

2. Take in the sights of your food and the environment around you. Food is a big part of our culture but it is memories we make with our loved ones that are even more delicious.

3. Listen to what's happening around you. Family members talking and laughing, little kids giggling, someone explaining the rules of a new card game, etc. Memories in the making.

4. Appreciate the texture of your food. Eat slowly and savor every bite.

Soak up your environment. Take in the smell, sight, and texture of your food. Eat and celebrate, guilt free.

Season's Eatings!

"It's me. Hi. I'm the problem, it's me." Taylor Swift

Do you feel these lyrics like we do? Have you or someone close to you been dealing with the same pain for weeks, months, or even years?

It's frustrating. It is a constant cloud hanging over you. And it can define who you are or actually become a part of you.

Here's the deal... The body is constantly trying to heal, it's you that is getting in the way or at the very least not contributing to the process.

You may not even know you are sabotaging yourself. You have a problem and aren't sure how to fix it so you turn to the world wide web for advice. You try it, it doesn't help so you try something else. The pain is still there... and so is the rinse and repeat cycle... over and over... and over.

Everything you do provides inputs to your body. If those inputs align with healing, your body will heal. If they are counterproductive to healing, it won't.

Our job is to help you identify what behaviors aren't conducive to healing (then doing less of them) and what behaviors are (then doing more of them).

It's really a simple game: more positive inputs, more positive results.

If you continue to struggle with the same problem and rest, exercise avoidance, or pills hasn't helped and you've had enough, we'd love to connect with you.

It's likely not as complicated or daunting as you might expect, but you have to take the first step.

Let's talk. The consult is free and will provide some valuable insights on possible next steps. Check us out at www.truenorthperform.com or send us a quick email at info@truenorthperform.com.
