A Full-Circle Moment: The Heart Behind Abigail Hospice
Eight years ago, I found myself in one of life’s most vulnerable moments—watching my mother fade while desperately hoping for comfort, dignity, and peace in her final days. We had entrusted her care to a hospice company I believed in. But that trust was shattered. Her care was chaotic, cold, and inconsistent. In her last moments, my family wasn’t surrounded by support—we were left begging for help. That experience carved a scar into my heart. One that I couldn't forget.
Years passed, but the pain remained close. One day, in a moment of reflection, I was sharing this story with my boss. I didn’t expect what came next. He looked at me and simply asked, “Would you like to start our own hospice company?”
My answer was immediate and emphatic—yes.
That question was a gift. A chance to build something beautiful from something broken. A chance to make sure that no other family would ever endure the kind of heartache mine did. That moment became a mission—my mission.
Today, Abigail Hospice is three years old. What started as a dream rooted in grief has grown into a sanctuary of compassion. Our team is more than just skilled professionals—we are caregivers with a calling. Every nurse, aide, chaplain, and coordinator understands that end-of-life care is sacred. And every day, we honor that truth by walking alongside families with love and presence.
Just a few weeks ago, my journey came full-circle. On May 13th, my father entered hospice care—not with a stranger, but with Abigail Hospice. And on May 30th, he peacefully passed away, surrounded by the very team I helped build. It was surreal. And it was healing. From our tender-hearted hospice aide to the attentive RN case manager, from our chaplain’s comforting prayers to the quiet acts of kindness in between—my father was cherished, and so were we.
This time, there was no begging.
There was no fear.
There was only grace.
Abigail Hospice is more than a company. It’s a promise—born from pain, driven by purpose, and carried out with love. If your family ever finds itself facing the hard road of saying goodbye, it would be our deepest honor to walk it with you.
Let us be the hands that hold yours.
Let us be the heart that understands.
With compassion,
