🐸Say & Play Bins- We often use bins with familiar toys and various household objects with a variety of textures. This Say & Play Spring Bin has several objects that have been repurposed. The spider web is foam packaging and the grass is a baby bottle rack. When we spark a child's imagination we create language opportunities.

🦗Nouns: Grass, Water, Tree Stump, Fly, Grasshopper.

🐞Verbs: Crawl, Fly, Find, Hide

🦋Prepositions: In, On, Under, Next To

🐛Adjectives: Sticky, Wet, Soft, Hard

🗣Sentences: Put the spider on the web. The web is sticky! Find the grasshopper.

🛀Practicing speech sounds can be part of your child's daily routine. Some children need a little extra practice with words that start with /sp/-blends (spill, spot, spy). Have you tried practicing these in the bath tub?

🫗Give your child a cup to fill and spill. Ask him, "Do you want to fill or spill your drink?" You could also say, "Ok, you tell me what to do with the cup. Should I fill or spill?" Remember, practicing should be fun. So, if this activity is frustrating your child consider keeping it short.
