🎉 Congratulations to Kate, our October Employee of the Month! 🎉
Kate, a CNA who originally joined us in 2012, returned this past April—and we couldn’t be happier to have her back! During our recent Resident Council meeting, when asked who should be nominated for Employee of the Month, Kate’s name was enthusiastically shouted out by several Lodgers for always going above and beyond in the care she provides.
In addition to her work as a CNA, Kate runs Salon Serenity, our in-house hair salon, where she works her magic—one strand at a time! 💇♀️
Kate’s life outside of work is just as vibrant. She’s the proud mom of two daughters, a dog named Clutch, two miniature pot-bellied pigs, and two laying hens. Her family owns Randy’s Service Station in Fowlerville, where Kate also attended high school.
Kate’s favorite part of her job? Taking care of people and always learning something new—currently, that’s wound care. She’s always striving to take that extra step to provide top-notch care for our Lodgers.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys hanging out with friends, playing games, mud bogging, roller derby, and crafting.
When asked what advice she’d give the younger generation, Kate shared:
“Live your life for YOU—learn to be happy alone and love yourself first!”
