Today, on World Cancer Day, we pause to recognize the millions of individuals and families who have been impacted by cancer. At Mauck Medical Clinic, this day is especially personal.

Recently, my own sister lost her battle with cancer. Walking through that journey alongside her and our family has been a powerful reminder that cancer is not just a diagnosis—it’s a deeply human experience that affects every part of life. It brings fear, hope, grief, courage, and love all at once.

Because of that, our commitment to caring for you goes beyond treating illness. We believe in early detection, prevention, and walking with you through every step, whether that’s routine screening, navigating a new diagnosis, or simply answering questions when you’re worried.

We strongly encourage you to stay up to date on recommended cancer screenings, including:

• Colonoscopies
• Pap smears
• Prostate screenings
• Skin checks

Early detection truly saves lives.

Influenza is hitting especially hard this year, and we’re already seeing higher numbers of flu cases in our community. The best way to protect yourself, your family, and those around you is by getting your annual flu shot.

Our clinic staff truly wants everyone to stay healthy this season. A flu vaccine can help reduce your risk of severe illness, missed work or school, and complications - especially for children, older adults, and those with chronic conditions.

We still have plenty of flu shots available. You can call and schedule an appointment with our amazing staff, or you can simply walk in when you're free and let us know you'd like your flu shot - no appointment necessary!

If you are experiencing symptoms of influenza, such as fever, body aches, sore throat, cough, we have influenza testing available.
