Last week we held our March Education Class, and we were grateful to have Dr. Gaede join us to speak about Colorectal Cancer Awareness. Dr. Gaede shared helpful tips on cancer prevention, the importance of healthy lifestyle choices, and explained the different screening options available. Wildfire smoke from Nebraska is making our air hazy and smoky. Smoke can worsen symptoms for people with asthma, COPD, or heart disease, and it isn't healthy for anyone, especially those who are pregnant, young children, or older adults.

Protect yourself today: limit time outdoors, check local air quality, keep windows/doors closed, set HVAC to recirculate, and use a portable HEPA cleaner if you have one.

Take care of yourselves and please keep our neighbors and responders in your thoughts as they continue to battle the fire.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide medical, dental, and behavioral health services through our three physical locations: Hoxie Medical Clinic, Hoxie Dental Clinic, Selden Community Clinic, and through multiple outreach locations—including school-based services and our mobile unit.

Our Board plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with Health Center Program requirements, setting priorities and policies, and guiding the clinic in fulfilling its vision: Contributing to build a thriving community by providing quality healthcare and empowering patients to live their healthiest lives.
