We have been blessed to have Brynn Niblock, a 4th-year medical student, throughout the month of February following Dr. Walz here at the Hoxie Clinic.

Brynn is a Hoxie native, and we’re glad to have her back home - even if it’s just for a short time! After graduation, Brynn plans to focus on women's health and OB-GYN.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of her medical training and proud to support future physicians with local roots. Welcome back, Brynn!

Hoxie High School Senior, Adleigh Ziegler, joined Mary Rose, RDH, on our mobile dental unit today to perform dental screenings at the Grainfield schools!

Adleigh is exploring a future in the dental field after graduation and is participating in a shadowing program through her school at our dental clinic. 👏🦷

We love getting the chance to show students what we do and inspire them to consider careers in medical, dental, or behavioral health. There are so many exciting possibilities in these fields, and we’re thrilled to support the next generation of healthcare professionals. 💙

Keep shining, Adleigh!

To help protect the health and safety of our patients, community, and staff, AmberMed would like to send out an announcement to inform you of visitor guidelines to our facility.

Clinic Patients:
▶️If you are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or body aches, please wear a mask while in our facility. We also ask that you maintain appropriate hand hygiene with hand sanitizer and washing if you cough, sneeze, or have contact with sick people.
🔸Hand sanitizer and masks are available at registration, as well as the lobby and exam rooms.

Hospital and Long Term Care Visitors:
➡️We ask that if you are having symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or body aches, please refrain from visiting our patients/residents until you are well. If you do visit our patients/relatives please be mindful of hand hygiene and cough etiquette.
🔸Hand Sanitizer is available throughout the hospital and long term care and in the patient/resident rooms. Masks are available upon request or from the clinic lobby.

These guidelines are in place to protect our patients/residents and our healthcare team. We will continue to monitor influenza numbers in our community and facility and provide any updates along the way.

We would like to extend a big thank you to the Sheridan County Fire Department for welcoming Dr. Gaede to their most recent meeting. Dr. Gaede discussed high blood pressure, the risks it can pose, and how small, everyday changes can make a meaningful difference in heart health.

As February is American Heart Health Month, we’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with our local first responders to promote education, prevention, and healthier lives. These conversations matter, and we appreciate your dedication to both your team’s health and the community you serve.

Thank you for all that you do - on and off duty! ❤️

Great opportunity coming up!

Great opportunity coming up!

**Edit** If you want to sign up a child, please contact the Health Department via a DM, call 785-675-2101, or email monica.reuber@ambermed.com

**Edit** A $25 donation rather than a $10 is requested to cover the cost of the CPR training. If the cost is a concern, please contact the health department to discuss options.

Spring break for our schools and summer vacation will be here before we know it. In preparation for this, the health department is offering a babysitting class to help prepare young entrepreneurs and older siblings to be ready to care for younger children.

The class is planned for Friday and Saturday, March 6th and 7th as the Friday is no school for students.

A $25 donation is requested to participate.

🦠🤧 Flu Alert, Friends! 🤧🦠

Influenza A is increasing in our community right now AND today is National Hugging Day. While we love the sentiment, this might be a good day for:

✔️ Air hugs
✔️ Elbow bumps
✔️ A friendly wave from a safe distance 😄

If you’re feeling under the weather, supportive care at home can help:

🛌 Get plenty of rest
💧 Stay well hydrated
🌡️ Use fever reducers as directed
🍲 Warm fluids and comfort foods can go a long way

And remember—if symptoms worsen, linger, or you’re concerned, AmberMed Clinic is here to help and happy to see you. Let’s keep the hugs virtual, the hands washed, and the germs to a minimum! 💙🧼

To help your appointment run smoothly and on time, please fill out all forms before your visit. If not completed in advance, please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early so we have enough time to complete check-in.
Each patient's first appointment with our new system will include additional forms to help complete charts.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to caring for you!
