MBS Wellness Principles Health and Wellness coaching, a Holistic Homeopathic Journey to Health and Wellness. Mom and baby were both healthy. Doctors cauterized three holes in her heart.

Find the path to true wellness with alternative health practices for mind, body & spirit! MBS Wellness Principles started with a dream of total health after multiple health crises and a passion for helping others. Gina Graening's 20+ years of medical experience, plus her own health journey, makes her an expert in finding true wellness. In 1984, Gina started her medical career in a group home for d

isabled adults. While working there, she realized the challenges, but also the need for quality care AND healthcare that truly works. After getting married, she took a break to begin her family, and brought forth three beautiful children. But while 6 months pregnant with her son, she had an emergency appendectomy. Down the road, Gina put herself through school as a newly single mother -- receiving an Associates Degree in Medical Assisting with a Phlebotomy license -- and moved on to working with addicts and adults with chemical dependency issues. While college and raising three small children alone was stressful, it took more than a toll on Gina. Unexpectedly, she found herself in urgent surgery for heart catheterization with radioactive ablasion for idiopathic supraventricular tachycardia: an extremely rapid heart rate leaving her unconscious; a congenital disease activated by stress. But that wasn't all -- a doctor Gina worked for discovered Crohn's Disease -- an autoimmune disease -- after emergency laproscopic surgery found a a blocked and perforated bowl, and subsequently 18 inches of small intestines were removed. That didn't slow Gina down. She found a love for emergency medicine -- through her own emergency experiences --and began working as a patient care technician in a local emergency room. She loved the thrill and the pressure of the environment while helping those who desperately needed it. This experience led Gina to enroll in Nursing school in 2000. With one semester down, Gina's 13 year old son became critically ill with a collapsed lung brought on by pneumonia in a severe asthmatic. He was hospitalized for two weeks, forcing Gina to miss too much school, and she dropped out. In 2003, Gina took her phlebotomy experience to a local laboratory business and built one of their service centers from the ground up. She drew blood for nursing homes and in the service center. But the dream of becoming a nurse never went away. Finally in 2010, Gina graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kent State University. She made it -- after three pregnancies, an appendectomy, heart surgery, Crohn's Disease, and raising three kids as a single mother. But the journey was far from over. Becoming a nurse set her up for the hardest thing she had to do as a human -- watch her own mother suffer and die from multiple comorbidities. Gina helped doctors, nurses, and aids manage her mother's health -- from rheumatoid arthritis, COPD, emphysema, neuropathy, TIA strokes, myleodysplastic disorder and more -- and her perfected cocktail of 25 plus medications for several years, until a massive stroke left her comatose and debilitated. It was her mother's death that finally helped Gina realize her true passion and place in this world. And that's how she decided to start MBS Wellness Principles, helping people find their way to health before disease ravages the body. Gina has extensive experience in the management of the disease process and chronic disease including heart disease, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, lung disease, arthritis, kidney disease, and autoimmune disorders. Gina also has extensive knowledge and experience in laboratory and diagnostic testing, health and nutrition, and a holistic approach to wellness. Throughout her 20+ years, one thing remains clear. Patients need help with their goals and dreams beyond the hospital or the doctor’s office. This has become her passion. It is her belief that everyone has their own journey to write, and that no two people have the same journey. Gina is currently an ICU/CCU nurse and the owner of MBS Wellness Principles, a business directed to the enhancement of the lifestyle of her patients. She has a love and passion for serving her patients through coaching and mentoring. By educating patients following a holistic approach about proper nutrition and disease management, her patients are able to follow a customized plan written just for them to improve their health and wellness, and get on the path to homeostasis.
