Anybody know any shanties?

Sailors with 2nd Medical Battalion, 2nd MLG, along with the Joint First Class Petty Officer Association, perform deck maintenance aboard the Battleship USS North Carolina. Sailors had a chance to get involved with their community while connecting with a piece of Naval history and tradition by obtaining hands on experience with the day-to-day work required to maintain a World War II era battleship.

Commissioned in 1941, The USS North Carolina saw combat across the Pacific, including Guadalcanal, Saipan, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, the Battle of the Philippine Sea, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa, sustaining minor battle damage several times, including surviving a torpedo strike. The North Carolina claimed the most battle stars of any WWI Battleship, bombarding multiple fortified islands, downing dozens of aircraft and sinking an Imperial Japanese vessel. She has remained moored in Wilmington, North Carolina as a museum ship since 1962.
