So excited to reopen my herbal teaching practice with this new hybrid online/in-person container, inspired by our monthly Tarot Club meetings.

Each month in Tarot Club, we’ve been meditating with a seasonal herb, chatting about a corresponding card/archetype, and hanging out reading for ourselves and others. It’s feeling so good to have that easy space to learn and connect with each other.

You might remember BODYSPELL online way back in 2020, or maybe you attended one IRL at Performance Space over the last few years.

This practice is near & dear & truly at the heart of how I work with the herbs creatively and as medicine.

Since Tarot Club has been such a smash, I’m reviving BODYSPELL as a deep-dive into our monthly herb—we’ll share medicinal, folkloric, ethnobotanical and personal plant stories. We’ll flow back and forth between personal process and collective sharing, moving, meditating, drawing, writing, talking…

This is a practice for deepening and affirming your relationship with the herbs.

Sayer Mansfield is a movement artist, choreographer, and teacher who grew in the woods of Massachusetts—part in the garden and part in her mother’s yoga. Movement, plants and any time spent outside have been the love language from the get go. Sayer has been teaching yoga alongside her dance career for the past 16 years. She is currently dancing with The Metropolitan Opera (NYC), as a guest artist with the Mark Morris Dance Group and working as a freelance artist and teacher based between the Hudson Valley and New York City.

Like all recurring classes, this one is free for studio members.

Drop-ins are also welcome!

Class spots are very limited for the month of June! ***Pre-register*** for class to make sure we have space for you and so that all flows smoothly at check-in.

This class is IRL-only, but lots of recordings are up in the library for those who want to move from afar.

an open-level somatic Indian classical dance workshop with Megha Barnabas and Remy Maelen

The traditional bhangas (stances), steps and mudras (hand gestures) of the Indian classical dance, Odissi become tools for exploring and creating an inner landscape.

Aromatic tinctures of spring buds and flowers (magnolia, lilac, poplar) provided, and incorporated into our practice.

A few spots left. This will be gorgeous. Don’t miss!

Sliding scale. Deeper sliding scale available for South Asian people. DM for info. FREE for studio members.
