We are growing, and Catskill is definitely feeling the love! We are thrilled to introduce Katrina to the Lava fam ❤️

Katrina has been teaching yoga since 2017, bringing with her the deep body awareness and discipline of her background as a former dancer in NYC. She originally turned to yoga as a way to heal from injuries and support her mental well-being, and it quickly became an essential part of her life. For Katrina, the physical practice is just the beginning. A small window into the vast potential within each of us.

She recently moved to Athens, NY from Brooklyn. She is a mom to two young kiddos and a dog named Luna. She’s thrilled to be part of the Lava team and believes in always remaining a student first — learning, growing, and evolving alongside her students every step of the way.

Katrina will be covering the Sunday 9:30am, Monday NOON (new class!) and Wednesday 6pm Community flow in Catskill starting this Sunday (10/12)! Welcome 🙌🌚

Our team is growing and we are so thrilled to announce that Mary Knothe will be teaching at Lava! Mary has been practicing yoga for the last 12 years. She was first introduced to yoga in a hot yoga studio in her hometown of La Crosse, Wisconsin so she’s excited to be coming back to a heated studio! She’s been practicing for more than a decade, and is also a gardener and is currently in a horticulture certificate program.

You can find at Lava in Hudson on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 ❤️

Sound meditations utilize a range of instruments to encourage attendees to attune to the silence between sounds. A powerful method of restoring balance, promoting well-being, and finding spaciousness within.

We can’t think of a better way to make an impact right now than super locally. Join us on Friday, August 22nd for a fundraiser Lava flow (95 degree) class with Kristin at our Catskill studio to raise funds for the Columbia County Sanctuary Movement. Drop-in rate is $20, with 100% of proceeds going to CCSM.

Many of you know and love her, and we are thrilled to announce that Arielle has joined the Lava teaching team! After falling in love with a daily yoga practice in 2006, completed her 200-hour yoga teaching certification in 2011. Arielle’s passion for working with people extends from the yoga mat to the counseling room as she is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the field of integrated mental health since 2012. Arielle is deeply compelled by the human experience, namely the relationship between the physical and psychological on the spectrum of holistic well-being. Driven by these passions, Arielle has trained in mindfulness, meditation, somatic work, along with interdisciplinary trauma-informed mental health care and movement practices. Arielle has been an active Lava student since 2023 and is thrilled to join the teaching roster!

Arielle will be teaching Lava flow on Saturday mornings in Catskill at 9:30am, starting this Saturday 8/9!

QLD is a space for all women identifying bodies and q***r folk. Drinks are on offer, some drawing supplies provided, no experience necessary. Please bring something to draw on and with ✏️
