Many patients visit the Bonati Spine Institute because they cannot climb stairs or walk more than 100 feet without difficulty. Some may rely on wheelchairs, canes or walkers. These symptoms often show that the signals between the brain, spinal cord, and nerves are being disrupted.
With a clear MRI and X-rays, we can see exactly where the problem is. Most of the time, it's caused by pressure on the nerve, that pressure causes weakness, pain, and trouble walking. When we release that pressure, the nerve can work normally again.
It’s amazing how fast people get their strength back once the nerve is free. We see this happen all the time at the Bonati Spine Institute.
