When a foot is severely “pronated,” it means arches have fallen, and the foot is flat and rolls inwards.
Flat feet are less shock-absorbent and make for a less stable “base” for everything above—including your knees. The is important to assess for in kids/teens/adults!

Your Winter Wellness Prescription 🌟

We want to share some essential tips to help you thrive this winter and remember…get adjusted 😊:

1️⃣ Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate 💧
Even in colder months, staying hydrated is crucial for energy, focus, and overall health. Aim for at around 1/4- 1/2 your body weight in water daily.

2️⃣ Prioritize Quality Sleep 💤
Sleep is the foundation of good health. Strive for 7-9 hours of uninterrupted, restorative sleep each night to support your immune system and mental clarity.

3️⃣ Get Sunlight or Use a Happy Light ☀️
Natural sunlight in your eyes helps regulate your mood and sleep-wake cycles. Can’t get outside? A happy light can provide a boost to combat winter blues.

4️⃣ Eat Quality Protein 🍳
Incorporate lean proteins like chicken, fish, eggs, beans, or tofu into your meals to fuel your muscles, brain, and overall recovery. Most people are getting far too LITTLE protein day to day!

5️⃣ Move Daily 🏃‍♀️
Your body thrives on movement. Whether it’s a brisk walk, yoga, or strength training, aim for at least 30 minutes a day to keep your body strong and your mind clear.

Goodluck to Eric and the crew running and traveling from The Zone here in Hudson to the Berlin Marathon! They have trained hard & raised a lot of money for the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Organization in order to participate in this! Safe travels and we will be here, ready for your adjustments when you return!

I had my last session today with Danielle Dabruzzi-Hintz before we head out to Berlin for the marathon.

It’s pretty simple; would not have made it to this day feeling this good without Danielle. Injuries are typically always a part of marathon training, especially as I get older. I had some major things “outta wack” in early September, and Danielle was VITAL in getting me feeling good again. I can’t recommend her enough, she knows her stuff!!

Anyone else have a surplus of fresh veggies this time of year? Try roasting them! Benefits or roasting veggies…..
1. Nutrient retention: Roasting vegetables at high temperatures (ie. Oven/Grill) can help prevent nutrient loss.
2. Improved texture and flavor: Roasting can make vegetables crunchy and slightly sweet, and add depth and flavor to salads. The browning that occurs during roasting also introduces new flavors. Kids often enjoy these!
3. Easier digestion: Roasting can make tougher vegetables more tender and easier to digest. 4. Can be stored up to 7 days in an airtight container.
