Shifting into autumn, one day at a time. As the season changes, a reminder that healing with myofascial release also involves a shift. Sometimes things change quickly. Often the changes are subtle and take time. "Healing is a journey, not an event." John F Barnes

"Emotion is a Greek word, meaning ‘to move’. It is basically the power that moves and drives our body and physiological processes. Our emotions are also a very powerful and important vibratory communication system. ....
Is it possible that emotions are the energy and language of the universe ?
When we have stifled our emotions, they become buried in the fascial system and instead of being the energy that drives us, keeping us healthy and vibrant, they become a heavy weight that drags us down. This creates a distorted filter, filled with negativity, which clouds our intellectual, conceptual concepts of our beautiful intellect.
Our goal with myofascial release is to help the individual return to a pain-fee, active lifestyle !
To accomplish this, we need to lessen the internal pressure from the restrictions and create an open system that is less viscous and more fluid. This enables our consciousness and the neuropeptides/emotions to flow through unimpeded. The learning that comes on our path of myofascial release is beautiful and never-ending. Enjoy yourself !" It's been a busy weekend learning. Resting today, and wanted to share this link about a clinical study in Madison on sjogrens someone shared with me. The more people that know about it, the more participants they can get.

The first person in the world to receive a dose of a novel cell therapy for a symptom of the immune disorder Sjögren’s disease has been treated during a clinical trial conducted by researchers at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Why do I have quarterly meditations? They help to take a pause from "doing" and "thinking" while helping draw awareness to what is happening with your own body. Making connections between different areas of the body that have always been connected, but been thought of as "separate" parts. "Without Awareness There Is No Choice" John Barnes

JF Barnes Myofascial Release - Serving Humans & Horses

Massage & energy work "found" me. In 2010 I signed up for massage school at St. Croix Center For The Healing Arts. By 2014, I had saved enough to try my first class of John Barnes Myofascial Release. I have since taken many more classes, participate in study groups and in short, I found my preferred form of bodywork. I am considered an “Advanced” level JFB MFR therapist. A full listing of the training I’ve taken is listed on my website here: http://chrisa.massagetherapy.com/about-the-practitioner

My personal story is given briefly on my website, but suffice it to say that I've been through some serious injuries and MFR (that's short for Myofascial Release) has been wonderful for my own healing process on all levels: Physical, Mental & Emotional.

MFR is a type of therapeutic bodywork working with the fascial system that is both gentle & highly effective. Done with the client clothed. May be helpful with resolving back, shoulder, neck, head, foot, wrist & systemic pain issues.

If you have questions or are considering working with me, I encourage scheduling a half hour free consultation. RATES PEOPLE:
