We hosted our very own Olympic Games right here at CCH Osceola!

Residents kicked off the festivities with a pair of lively left/right short stories, passing the Olympic torch from one participant to the next. Throughout the week, everyone took part in a variety of themed events, including Ice Fishing, Guess the Flag, Ice Hockey, Curling, Target Shooting, and Bobsledding. While we didn’t hit the ice or hop into a real bobsled, we created fun, creative adaptations of each event to bring the Olympic spirit to life.

Residents embraced the friendly competition, challenging one another and cheering each other on as the games progressed.

We wrapped up the week with an Awards Ceremony, where the top three participants in each event proudly received their medals. It was a week full of laughter, teamwork, and community spirit—our own memorable version of the Winter Games!

At CCH, we love to foster growth within our company. We have had Rose Jelen, Kristen Guest, and others complete their boards and are now serving as RNs with CCH! These individuals have been CNAs or LPNs with CCH prior to graduating and becoming RNs! We are so proud of your accomplishments and can't wait to see you continue to grow at CCH!

❤️ Valentine’s Day at Osceola Campus! ❤️

We celebrated Valentine’s Day in true style this year! Residents enjoyed a delicious meal specially served by our leadership team. The entrée choices—Shrimp Scampi or Beef Stroganoff—were a huge hit, and the lunch ended on a sweet note with rich chocolate lava cake for dessert.

A big shoutout to our amazing kitchen staff for preparing such a wonderful meal. Their hard work made all the more unforgettable.

Love, laughter, and friendship filled the building, making it a perfect Valentine’s celebration for our community! 💕

Osceola Campus NFL Pick ’Em Season Wrap‑Up

For all 18 weeks of the NFL season, residents brought their competitive spirit to our weekly Pick ’Em challenge. Each week, participants selected the teams they believed would win, and we kept track of how many correct picks each resident made. With 272 total games in the season there was plenty of action to follow.

After the first 9 weeks, Gerry H. from Cedar Ridge led the pack with an impressive 88 correct picks. His consistency and football knowledge set the tone for a strong first half.

In the final 9 weeks, David B., also from Cedar Ridge, took the lead with 79 correct picks, showing remarkable accuracy down the stretch.

When the full season wrapped up, David B. emerged as the overall champion with a remarkable 166 correct picks.

Before the Super Bowl, residents predicted the winner and final score — and two came impressively close. Alma G. and David B., both choosing the Seattle Seahawks and missing the final score by only 8 points! Well done to both of our Super Bowl prediction winners.

We celebrated with a fun Super Bowl After Party, where Gerry and David received football themed T‑shirts, and our Super Bowl winners chose between a football pillow or a light‑up football decoration.

Every week, residents were fully engaged—filling out their pick sheets, following the games, and cheering on their choices. The enthusiasm and engagement made this season truly special. Great job to everyone who participated! We’re already looking forward to next season.

Our Osceola Campus recently enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon with some very special guests from Sustainable Safari. The visit began with an adorable tenrec — a tiny creature that looks remarkably like a hedgehog but actually hails from Madagascar. With its quill-like spines and curious personality, it was the perfect icebreaker.

Next up was a baby alligator, just over a foot long. She was calm and surprisingly cute, though a few residents understandably took a small scoot back when she got close. Still, plenty of brave hands reached out to feel her smooth, cool scales.

The third visitor was a showstopper: a fluffy Lop Continental bunny. She was impressively large and irresistibly soft, and it’s safe to say our residents would have happily spent the rest of the afternoon snuggling her.

Then came the moment that made everyone sit up a little straighter — our presenter carefully untied not one but two pillowcases to reveal a snake. She certainly captured the room’s attention, especially from those who preferred to admire her from a respectful distance.

Our final guest was a gentle opossum with a long tail and velvety fur. We learned some surprising facts too: opossums typically live only 1½ to 2 years and can have anywhere from 7 to 21 tiny babies at once.

Both of our visits from Sustainable Safari have been a delight, and we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to meet more fascinating creatures!

Friday afternoon at CCH-Hudson we changed up our regular Happy Hour and had an incredible Valentines Party instead. The Squires Band provided exciting music that help lead to singing AND dancing!

Thank you to the Hudson Women's Club for the bags of chocolates and cards, the Saint Patrick Catholic School in Hudson, WI youth for the cards and door hangers, Trinity Academy of Hudson WI for cards and love AND our amazing volunteers who work tirelessly to make our events very special!

What an incredible week we have had at CCH- Hudson. So much to tell. So many pictures to share!

Let’s start off with one wonderful event…more to come later.

Our Generosity in Action group from PineRidge Assisted Living worked on a project with some new “groupies”. We put together boxes to hold donations at each of our buildings on campus. The donations that we are asking for are going to be brought to Angel's Pet World. We learned that they are a “hub” for donations of this kind in our area.

Our group’s mission is to help others. This time we are helping the animals. Please bring in a donation or 2 when you come for your visit. We will have the donations out until March 20th.

Thank you to Lisa Burban and her incredible friends for helping make this a reality. Oh, and this generosity project for the humane societies was Lisa’s idea! 🥰
