Chaplain’s Day 2026 continues to bring chaplains together for learning, conversation, and renewal at the Home.

Yesterday’s sessions included a discussion on the Chaplain’s Handbook, providing practical insight for multifaith service, followed by a Chaplain’s Roundtable that encouraged open and honest dialogue.

The “Filling Your Own Cup” workshop served as a powerful reminder that caring for others starts with caring for yourself.

Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the Firefighter’s Home, connecting with the legacy and purpose behind the service.

From mixing ingredients to the final slice, members shared a wonderful time in the kitchen making no bake Raspberry Cheese Squares. The activity was a great way to connect, create something delicious, and enjoy a homemade dessert together.

Spring is around the corner and March is buzzing at the Firefighter’s Home with Coffee Hour, Bingo, live entertainment, seasonal crafts, special events, and meaningful gatherings that make every day engaging and enjoyable for our members.

A week of recipes, rivalry, and great food wrapped up at the FASNY Firefighter’s Home.

Top honors went to Peter Scarinzi. Bob “Bobbo” Salmon claimed second, and Robert “Gilly” Gillman, Resident Council President, secured third in a tie-breaker finish.

This week in the FASNY Firefighter’s Home kitchen, the heat was on, literally!

Six of our members each cooked up their signature chili, putting their own twist on this classic comfort dish.

From Sunday through Wednesday, batches were stirred, spices were measured, and recipes were perfected with help from Assistant Director of Activities Rebecca Moran.

Today, it all comes down to the taste test! Members and staff will vote for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and the winner will move on to represent our Home at the Brown’s 2026 Firehouse Chili CookOff on Sunday, March 22 from 1-4 p.m. at Brown's Revolution Hall in Troy.

May the best chili win!

The Firefighter’s Home Car Show is coming to Hudson on May 30, 2026.

Open to all years, makes, and models, the event will feature Top 30 awards, special awards selected by FASNY, food trucks, concessions, and a co****le competition. Spectators are welcome with free admission.

February is stacked at the Firefighter's Home! From Olympic watch parties and Valentine’s fun to therapy dog visits, bingo nights, live music, movies, and our can’t-miss Chili Cook-Off—there’s something happening almost every day.

🐾 Mondays at the FASNY Firefighter’s Home always come with extra tail wags!

Willow the therapy dog and his handler, Dave, stopped by for their weekly visit, spreading smiles, comfort, and lots of furry love with our members. These visits are a favorite around here —and it’s easy to see why! 💙🐶

Members of the Firefighter’s Home recently enjoyed guided tours at the FASNY Museum of Firefighting. Staff shared that everyone had a wonderful time exploring the exhibits and learning about the rich history on display.

Several members were excited to find trucks and artifacts from their own counties — and even from the very firehouses where they once served.

We’re grateful to the museum for welcoming our group and helping create a memorable experience.

Tucked away in New York State's scenic and centrally located Hudson Valley, the Home celebrates the longstanding tradition of brotherhood in the volunteer fire service. We maintain a high level of service to residents and appreciation for the service that our members committed to their communities.

The pride of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York (FASNY), our 120 peaceful acres have been a volunteer firefighter haven for 125 years.
