Welcome to Hanson Creative Services! I am a public speaker/entertainer, writer, and music editor. My services are available for live events of all kinds.

Words and music. I simply cannot recall a time when I wasn't completely captivated by both. Whether typed on a computer, or played on a piano, a simple stroke of the keys has the power to reach each of us on a level that is purely personal, as well as unite and uplift us in ways that remind us that we are all in this together. My mission with Hanson Creative Services is to give assistance to those

who need it, effect positive change whenever possible, and hopefully leave this world just a little bit better than I found it. I speak for others. I hope you'll let me speak for you.

About Me

I had all of the prerequisites covered. All of the standard benchmarks.

Wife? Yep. Kids? Check. Nice place to live? Uh-huh. Good paying job? You bet. So why was I still unhappy? That’s a great question, and it would be a long time before I had an answer. When the answer finally came, it wasn’t all that remarkable, and it shouldn’t have been all that surprising.

I wasn’t ungrateful. I was unfulfilled.

Don’t get me wrong. I have a wonderful family, and I count my blessings every single day. That said, I needed something just for me. I wanted to know that I could make a difference that went beyond the end of my own driveway.

The good news was that I had identified the problem.

The bad news? I still had absolutely no idea what to do about it. It wasn’t until a casual conversation with an old friend that a solution began to take shape. My friend happens to be a behavioral psychologist (insert your own joke here), and she told me that if I were ever given the opportunity to speak for those who were unwilling, or unable to speak for themselves, I would “hit it out of the park”.

So, I thought about it. A lot. Aaannnddd…she was right. I definitely had the ability. What I didn’t have, as it turned out, was the nerve. At least, not yet. For far longer than I care to admit, I stared intently down the road less traveled, and took not so much as a single step. I simply went about my business, and waited for my desire to pursue this new endeavor to fade. But, a funny thing happened. It didn’t fade. In fact, it grew stronger, as did my confidence.

It took a bit of time but, eventually… surprisingly...finally… I took a deep breath, put one foot in front of the other, and I started walking. To be sure, my first steps were small. I lent my talents to friends or family members. I wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire, but my efforts were certainly appreciated. Before long, I was volunteering for charitable causes and non-profit organizations. It felt great to give something of myself, but whatever I gave paled in comparison to what I got in return.

Over the years, I’ve had my fair share of victories, some greater than others. I’ve also suffered the occasional misstep, which is bound to happen. I mean, if you’re going to travel, you have to expect a few bumps in the road.

But good or bad, I’m grateful. For all of it. Those collective experiences are uniquely mine, and they have brought me to where I am today.

“And where, exactly, is that?”, you may ask.

Well, today I’m still putting one foot in front of the other, still walking, loving the view, and meeting new friends along the way. There’s no definitive destination in sight, but I don’t mind.

The joy is in the journey.
