Happy Easter to you and those you love. We are no strangers to the grief the holidays bring-but wanted to encourage you today. Through the cross and Jesus' resurrection-He made it possible for us to choose life everlasting.

There was a moment in Matthew that isn't talked about as much-when Jesus was resurrected, He resurrected other believers with Him. And what a great hope we have, when we miss the ones we love, that they are safe with Jesus and will welcome us one day. Blessings to you.

Funeral Directors do so much quietly, behind the scenes. After an 18 hour work day,They get a call right when their head hits the pillow, that someone in their community has passed away. They dress in their suit, and arrive to your home in dignity to take your loved one into their care.

They miss holidays, their children's events, weekends, to serve other families, maybe even your family. They hold grief, compassion, and space for when you are facing the unthinkable and need a steady guide.

To all of our funeral director friends-thank you, for the service you provide. It is one of the hardest careers out there-but you do it with grace and compassion.

If nobody has ever told you-grief is individual, and it is NOT linear. I'm actually not a huge fan of the 5 stages of grief as most people know it, because it sets an expectation that if you are not "going in order" you are grieving incorrectly.

When working with families, I like to advise them while all of those stages are very real feelings that we can and very well may likely experience, they may not be in that order, they may come and go, and we may skip one altogether.

I've grieved a loss where i'm experiencing 2 or 3 at one time even. If you ever need someone to talk to, know that Craig and I are always here. Text or call anytime, we left the number below. Blessings!

Why should you preplan your funeral with me?

I offer something very unique-I am a licensed funeral director and preplanning specialist, and I am completely independent and unbiased. What does that even mean??? I work for YOU-the individual wanting to preplan your funeral, I am not an employee of a funeral home. This means that I can fully take the time to educate you in every single one of your options, take time to learn about your values, make recommendations, I can work with the funeral home of your choice, help make funeral home recommendations, and even help to make comparisons between several cremation and funeral providers.

Your future arrangements are so individual, and I respect every one of your wishes. I do not have a sales quota to meet because i work for myself and for you, all I want is to make sure you have planned your arrangements thoroughly and clearly so that we can remove that burden from your spouse, children, or family. I can meet with you in the comfort of your home, somewhere fun like a coffee shop, or you can come to our warm office in Hudson-removing one of the biggest obstacles I often hear:

“I just do not want to step foot into a funeral home before I have to.”

and now, you don’t have to. When we are complete with our planning process, you will have a detailed, personalized file provided to you and the chosen funeral home so there are never any questions. You can then just tell your family everything is taken care of, tell them where your file is, and you never have to think about this again.
