✨ Welcome Sarah, our Life Enrichment Director! ✨

Hello everyone! Some of you may know Sarah from around the campus, but for those of you who don’t, her name is Sarah, and she is the new Life Enrichment Director at The Oaks at Jamestown! She has been working here since October 2024 as a Life Enrichment Associate and also completed an internship here this past August.

She recently graduated from GVSU and became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, which allows her to provide quality programming and services to our residents. When she is not at work, you can usually find her doing something active, such as going for a run, playing tennis, rollerblading, or kickboxing. She also enjoys volunteering at her church and visiting family in Illinois. Sarah is so excited to step into this new role and look forward to working even more closely with our residents and families!

Big thanks to our sister campus, Harbor Terrace Senior Living, for hosting us! ✨ Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying snacks, touring the patio and rooms, strolling the pier on Muskegon Lake, and—most of all—sharing great company. 💙

We had a blast bringing “Around the World” to life through our colorful outdoor spaces — creativity, teamwork, and lots of laughs along the way. 🌏 What an amazing journey to first place in Campus in Color for the Great Lakes Division! ✨

This trip to the Muskegon Museum of History & Science was full of special moments. ✨ Residents explored exhibits on World War II and Muskegon’s past, but the most moving highlight was when one resident found a photo of the church where she was baptized, married, and spent much of her life — such a beautiful reminder of how history connects to our own stories. 💙
