Dear Patients and Families:
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.
Per governor’s orders dental offices can resume operations on May 11th and our office is now open. We will be adding extra clinic time to accommodate the demand for appointments as well as those who had appointments cancelled during the COVID shut down.
While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your dental health and safety. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and we follow infection control recommendations and guidelines made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
You may see some changes at your next appointment to help protect our patients and staff.
· Our office will communicate with you before your child’s appointment to ask some screening questions. We may take both you and your child’s temperature at their appointment.
· Please contact us to reschedule appointments if your child or anyone in their immediate household has (or has been exposed to) COVID19 or has a cold or flu like symptoms.
· Please limit extra companions to only essential people in order to reduce the number of people in the clinic and reception area. (Younger siblings without appointments that cannot remain at home are welcome, we just ask they stay by your side throughout the visit)
· Please maintain 6-foot social distancing when possible
· Based on CDC recommendations, Parents/Companions must bring and wear a mask/face covering at all times while in the clinic. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html
· You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys etc. You may want to bring a toy/item to occupy your child.
· As children look forward to their ‘prize’ at the end of each appointment we will continue to offer this, please let us know if you would prefer we not offer a sticker and prize token.
· You may want to bring a light jacket or sweatshirt as we are keeping the clinic temperature cooler to accommodate our staff that will be wearing extra PPE which is extremely warm.
· We recommend bringing your own pen to protect yourself however we will disinfect office pens for your use.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have!
