This Father’s Day, we’re honoring the dads breaking cycles, choosing healing, and showing up for the people they love.

Our CEO, George Joseph, is not only a leader in the recovery space but a father in recovery himself. He shared:

“A sober Father’s Day can change the course of a family for generations. I cherish all my kids in such unique ways and have been blessed beyond words, even during the challenging times, especially with teenagers!”

Recovery, he reminds us, isn’t just a personal milestone; it’s a gift to those we love most. And sometimes, the path isn’t easy. But presence matters more than perfection.

“Be patient and present, not just during Father’s Day, but every day. Especially with those kids who may still be unforgiving, even if you’ve gotten sober. Forgiveness takes different times for different people.”

To all the dads doing the work—quietly, steadily, courageously—we see you.

Your growth is powerful. Your presence is your legacy.

💙 Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Positive Recovery.

Whether you’re celebrating, grieving, or navigating complicated feelings this Father’s Day, this episode is for you. ❤️⁣

In a spontaneous moment, Jamie Demeris invited his kids into the studio. What started as a fun spontaneous chat turned into a deeply moving conversation about fatherhood, legacy, and recovery. By the end, they were in tears—especially when his son asked him a question about his “papou” (grandfathet in Greek), a man Dean and Lauren never got to meet.⁣

This Father’s Day, we’re sharing that conversation on the Positive Recovery MD Podcast. It’s raw, real, and a reminder that recovery doesn’t just change us—it transforms future generations.⁣

Honored to join the 33rd Annual Convention of Texas Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers with Paul Jacobs this past weekend.

Together, we’re committed to busting the stigma surrounding alcoholism, substance use, other addictions, and mental health challenges within the legal profession.

Events like these open the door to honest conversations, compassionate support, and real change.

Sometimes the hardest part of healing is believing that life can be different.

But to rise beyond the pain, the past, or the patterns, we have to start thinking like someone who’s already free.

We have to speak love over ourselves.
We have to feel hope, even when it hurts.
We have to think healing is possible for us.

Because true transformation begins in the moments we choose to believe in something greater than our current reality. 💙

🧠 Resilience helps us bounce back to our natural state, regaining balance and returning to who we were before the storm.

🌱 Post-traumatic growth helps us grow forward, using adversity as a catalyst to become an even fuller, stronger version of ourselves.

Both are powerful and necessary.
Sometimes, healing looks like finding your footing.
Other times, it looks like rising into something entirely new.

Whether you're reclaiming your stability or stepping into transformation, know this: both are valid, both are brave, and both are worth honoring.
