Ophelia needs an adopter or rescue commitment before 4:30 10/20. She came in as a stray with a lame left hind leg. Medication helped but did not go away. It is suspected that Ophelia has chronic dry eye but she will not allow a vet exam to determine the cause of issue. The shelter had X-rays of her leg, pelvis and back but it was inconclusive.
Sheโs been friendly with the volunteers, allows baths and eye cleaning. Unfortunately, she has never been friendly with other dogs here at the shelter. Ophelia will need to be an only dog. Cats unknown. โOnly dogโ. That right there alone can seal a dogโs fate. Now throw in medical issues ๐
Ophelia will be spayed, microchipped and vaccinated upon adoption or rescue commitment. She is 50 lbs and at least 5 years old.
