Townsen Memorial Health System proudly announces a significant milestone. Dr. Andrew Huang successfully performed the first surgical procedure worldwide using the recently FDA-approved Genio Therapy implant, marking a groundbreaking achievement in the field of sleep medicine.

This pioneering Genio procedure was successfully performed at Townsen Memorial Surgery
Center - River Oaks on September 29, 2025. It represents a transformative option for patients
with moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) who have been unable to tolerate
conventional Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) treatments.
