Hello Spring! Yesterday was the first day of Spring and what better way to spend it than shopping for plants for our butterfly garden! 🦋

Three of our wonderful residents have been meeting and working hard to make a plan for the butterfly garden. They are also working on some other gardening projects that are equally as fantastic!

We are so excited for this beautification project that will not only help our pollinators, but add even more peace and beauty to the outdoor space off of our veranda. It is one of the most lovely parts of our community.

We’ve had our share of shenanigans at The Terraces for St. Patrick’s Day! Today we enjoyed a lively happy hour with fun music, beer cheese with pretzels and potatoes and a special cocktail, “the fuzzy leprechaun.”

Leading up to today, we made St. Patrick’s accessories, decorations, and enjoyed watching some fabulous Irish dancing from the McTeggart Irish Dancers of South Texas!

We had the best time playing St. Patrick’s Day bingo with Cub Scout Pack 610. The Scouts came with great prizes and cupcakes! We look forward to welcoming their pack back to our community.

Tonight our residents enjoyed the Kingwood Pops Orchestra’s first performance of the year, “Country Roots and Western Boots.”

We love supporting the local arts and are fortunate to have so many great options in our area!

This is the first of three outings in March to see local live music at its best!

At The Terraces we enjoy active games that sometimes bring a little friendly competition. Axe throwing, basketball and corn hole are a few of our favorites.

Who needs coffee shops when we have our own barista bar at The Terraces? Salted caramel was the special of the day and was very popular. Our next bar will feature Irish coffee. Come join us for a cup!

March is National Craft Month and our calendar is filled with crafty opportunities! We started the month off with these adorable spring bunny wreaths.

The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo has officially kicked off! We did our part to celebrate Go Texan Day with a party that included music by the Texas Ramblers, food, drinks and a lot of dancing!

Our community driver, Roger even took the microphone and sang with the band! What a great afternoon.

Treats were offered. Tails were wagged. Votes are in. Ozma won hearts and votes and has secured bragging rights for the year's pet contest at The Terraces.

Thank you to everyone who submitted photos, voted, and helped us celebrate the pets who bring so much comfort, laughter, and companionship to our community every day.

Congratulations to Ozma, you're definitely the cat's meow!

We brought the spirit of New Orleans to our community! Our Mardi Gras party included boudin balls, beignets, king cake, bloody Marys and beads!
