We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how about you? What a great day at The Terraces! Kingwood Middle School band, dance, cheer and athletes put on a great pep rally at our community. So many residents shared stories about their pep rally days when they would dance, cheer, or play in the band. After the pep rally, the students spent time playing games and engaging with our residents.

We are so thankful to the students, teachers, coaches, and sponsors of these wonderful programs at Kingwood Middle School for sharing their time and talents with us!

It’s pumpkin season! We crafted decoupage pumpkins. Everyone chose what they wanted theirs to look like to match their decor. They are adorable! We’re not finished with pumpkin crafts just yet… We have lots of fall crafts on our calendar this month. If you would like to come craft with us, we would love to have you!

It’s Active Aging Week! We are proud to have such a phenomenal fitness program at The Terraces. We offer daily fitness classes as well as water aerobics, balance and Pilates classes each week. This week in addition to the fitness program, we are focusing on brain health and overall wellness. Health talks, snack and learn and many active activities like chair volleyball, co****le, and basketball will help us to stay active! As an added bonus, residents that participate in active aging activities this week will receive double auction bucks!

We had a great time listening to The Kingwood Pops performance, “Peace, Love and Pops”. We always enjoy their concerts! Next up for the Pops is the holiday show - we’ll be there too!

What an AMAZING Oktoberfest celebration we had! 🎉 Residents had a fantastic time enjoying German brats, polka music, and good company. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun!

We had a blast at our resident carnival! We played games, laughed and won an insane amount of auction bucks! Bidding should be high at this month’s auction.

Something magical happened at The Terraces! We hosted an open house that featured a comedy and magic show. We laughed and were amazed at the skills of our special guest, Paul Driscoll. The food and specialty cocktails were fabulous. It was a great night to spend together visiting and laughing!

Spirit week continues at The Terraces! Yesterday we wore purple to represent Alzheimer’s awareness. It was so wonderful to see so many people dressed in purple. In addition to spirit week, there are so many other wonderful activities happening. Windy from Seniors Helping Seniors came out to lead a fun pumpkin craft! Residents had so much fun, creating some seasonal decor for their apartments!

We are busy preparing for our open house event on September 26th. Join us and tour our beautiful community, enjoy great food and drinks, take a chance at winning one of our raffles and laugh and be amazed at the comedy and magic show!

Seating is limited, so be sure to RSVP to 281-361-7557 to reserve your seat for the show. Our event starts at 5 PM and the show starts at 6 PM!

Saturday crafter-noons are the best! This weekend our crafters created the most beautiful fish paintings that mimic stained glass! They are all so beautiful and vibrant, just like the residents that created them.
