Humboldt County Public Health Humboldt County Public Health is Humboldt County Iowa's Department of Health, with the Board of Health providing oversight for many programs.

Humboldt County Public Health offers a variety of services to all ages of residents in Humboldt County. If we are not able to meet a need of a Humboldt County resident, we will assist with a referral to an agency that can meet a person’s needs. We are staffed with licensed RN’s; certified home care aides; office manager and social worker. If there are questions as to services that can be provided or for information on health related concerns, please contact Humboldt County Public Health at 515-332-2492.

Join us for “Walking Through Dementia Together,” an educational event designed to provide guidance, resources, and support for families and caregivers who may not know where to begin.

This event will help you better understand the journey ahead and connect you with experts who can answer your questions. Topics will include:

✔️ Medicaid planning & financial considerations
✔️ Advance directives & estate planning
✔️ Medicare benefits and coverage options
✔️ Aging in place—what it really looks like at home

⏰ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 2nd Floor of HCMH

This American Heart Association non-certification course teaches:
✔️ Basic CPR for all ages
✔️ How to use an AED
✔️ Choking relief techniques

The class uses a hands-on, practice-while-watching format so you leave feeling confident and ready to respond in an emergency. It’s perfect for parents, grandparents, babysitters, and community members who want to be prepared.
