Shoutout to Our Amazing Dietary Team! 🔥

We want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work our Dietary Department does every single day. From delicious meals to creative ideas, this team truly goes above and beyond for our residents and staff.

This past week, they even turned up the heat with a friendly BBQ showdown — Ashley’s BBQ Taco vs. Scottie’s BBQ Cornbread Stack 🌮🍞🔥
While we won’t start any arguments over who won 😉, one thing is clear: everyone who got to taste them was the real winner!

A huge thank you to Head Chef Scottie and Dietary Manager Ashley for their leadership, passion, and for making food something we all look forward to. We’re so grateful for the heart (and flavor!) you bring to HCMH every day. 💙👏

Brrr… it’s cold out there! ❄️ It’s important to take extra precautions to stay safe and warm!

Cold Weather Safety Tips:
🧤 Limit time outdoors and take frequent warm-up breaks
🧣 Dress in layers — don’t forget hats, gloves, and face coverings
🔥 Keep skin covered to prevent frostbite
🚗 Keep your gas tank at least half full and an emergency kit in your vehicle
🏠 Check on elderly neighbors and anyone without adequate heat

Watch for Warning Signs:
⚠️ Frostbite: numbness, white/grayish skin, blistering
⚠️ Hypothermia: shivering, slurred speech, confusion, drowsiness

Each year, HCMH offers a community challenge to support healthier lifestyles—and this year, we’re changing things up! Instead of Mission Slimpossible, we’re excited to launch Social Media Slim Down.

We’re inviting local businesses to form teams and join us in a 28-day challenge focused on reducing time spent on social media. Research shows that higher social media use is linked to poorer mental well-being, while cutting back can help reduce anxiety, depression, and feelings of loneliness.

As part of our new weight management service line, Dr. Kim brings 22 years of experience providing personalized, comprehensive care—supporting patients before, during, and after treatment.
