☘️ We had a wonderful time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Long Term Care! Here are some fun snapshots from our festive party filled with green treats, refreshments, and lots of smiles. Our residents showed off their lucky spirit with fun green hats—and plenty of laughter!

A special shoutout to Stacy, Karen, and Kassie for bringing the excitement as the stars behind our “human slot machine”! 🎰💚

We also loved welcoming the ICCC Nursing Students. Our residents always enjoy spending time with the students—especially socializing and getting their nails done together. Such a special way to connect and brighten everyone’s day! 💅✨

We had a minion-mazing time at our recent employee appreciation event! 💛🍿

We rented out the Humota Theater for a private showing of Minions so our employees and their families could relax, laugh, and enjoy a fun night together outside of work. Events like this are just one small way we like to say thank you to the incredible people who make what we do possible every day.

Even better — this night was about more than just us. By hosting our event locally, we were also able to support the Humota Theater 🎥

It’s a great reminder that when we show up for each other — whether it’s our team or our local businesses — everybody wins.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a fun evening, and to the Humota Theater for hosting us! ❤️

Did you know most of the sodium we eat doesn’t come from the salt shaker? It comes from packaged and processed foods.

This week, our Registered Dietitian Amanda Thul, RD, is sharing tips on how to read food labels and why it matters 👇

🔎 Step 1: Check the Serving Size
All the numbers on the label are based on ONE serving. If you eat double the serving size, you’re getting double the sodium.

🧂 Step 2: Look at the Sodium (mg)
• 5% Daily Value (DV) or less = Low
• 20% DV or more = High
A good rule of thumb: aim for products with 140 mg or less per serving (that’s considered “low sodium”).

📊 Step 3: Compare Brands
You might be surprised how much sodium varies between similar products. Take 10 extra seconds at the shelf to compare labels.

⚠ Why it matters:
Too much sodium can increase blood pressure and raise your risk for heart disease and stroke. Small daily choices add up over time.

Amanda’s tip: “Focus on progress, not perfection. Start by choosing just one lower-sodium option during your next grocery trip.”
