Please help us welcome Mary!

Mary is a familiar face at The Heart of Play, as she completed her BSW internship with us this last fall.

Mary is back and ready to dive in as our Administrative Assistant and as an MSW intern.

Her dual role is a perfect fit for us here at The Heart of Play as she is knowledgeable and equipped with the skill set of providing excellent client care and understanding mental health from a Social Work perspective.

Mary will be completing her internship hours from January through December of this year.

Mary will be training and beginning her role as Administrative Assistant in March.

We are so excited to have you back with us, Mary!

We did it 🙌🏼

We made it through the darkest weeks of the year.
(November 16th - January 22nd).

This is cause for celebration 🥳 ☀️ (the bar is low - we celebrate the little wins!) Sunsets are getting later (albeit very slowly, but still).

There is literal light at the end of the dark, cold, wintery tunnel 🥹.

Things are looking bright(er) ☀️

Everyone has good days and hard days with their mental health.

That's why we're so excited to share Mental Health America’s theme for 2026: More Good Days, Together. This reflects the heart of our mission: helping people have more good days by meeting them where they are, supporting them as whole people, and understanding that “good” is defined by their unique experience and goals.

At Mental Health America, we know that there is no health without mental health. 1 in 5 people experience a mental health condition each year — and 5 in 5 are managing their mental health every day.

This year’s theme encourages us all to reflect on what a “good” day looks like, both for ourselves and for our communities. Together, we can use that insight to connect people to the right support at the right time, and shape advocacy, education, and community engagement to make more good days possible for all.

Throughout the year, you’ll see this theme integrated across our initiatives, campaigns, and events – with resources available in both English and Spanish.

The path may look different for everyone, but we all deserve more good days, together. 🧡
