Food Bank Donations

The word Reset has many different meanings to me, which is why I chose it for my business name. In addition to massage, I would like to help EVERYONE experience a full body reset...and nutrition is a key factor. Begining August 19th, I will be accepting donations for the food bank that is held on Wednesdays at the Lutheran Church across the street. Non-perishable foods are always a great option, but I would like to donate fresh foods more often. Unfortunately, pre-cooked foods are not allowed. I will have a box set up in the lobby, but for fresh foods please drop off on Tuesday or Wednesday. Another great option would be supplies such as can openers, spatulas, measuring spoons, etc.
These everyday items are something that many of us take for granted when we go to cook dinner.
It is time to Reset Us and join together to help one another as a community.

As many of you know I recently underwent some training to become a QPR instructor, which is basically CPR for mental health. I have always been passionate about mental health and once I met Govan Martin, founder of Su***de Prevention Alliance I knew I wanted to work alongside him for this important cause. This organization helps support efforts throughtout the community for Su***de Prevention and Awareness. Talking about su***de and understanding how to assist ones who are struggling, have lost loved ones, and others who want to better understand how to communicate is the first step.
A difficult topic but crucial as these trainings could save a life.

I am holding a raffle to benefit this cause. All proceeds will go directly to Su***de Prevention Alliance. Each basket is a $300 value and I want to thank all the generous donors for their contributions.

Sometimes we just need to LISTEN and not try and “fix” everything. With kids graduating and going off to college/finding their way, we often try and find the best answer to just help them feel better automatically. As that is a natural instinct it can also be invalidating to the person trying to be heard. Listening skills can be difficult when our loved ones are struggling. To learn more about how to listen and help ones in our life I will be holding some QPR sessions in the summer. Please keep sharing my page as I hope to reach the community for much for then massage.

"Don't try to fix it. I just need you to listen." Every man has heard these words. And they are the law of the land. No matter what.
