Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank Blood donation is a short, simple process that enhances and saves the lives of local patients.

Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank was incorporated in 1960 by local physicians and community leaders who recognized the need for an organization to manage the blood supply for the local hospitals. Today, CPBB needs over 75,000 blood donations per year to treat local patients in 14 South Central Pennsylvania Hospitals.

Community Blood Drive on Friday, August 15, 11 am to 7 pm with Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank at Lititz Church of the Brethren in the Family Life Center. Homemade snacks will be provided by the church!
*Note: Sealing is being done on our front and side parking lots this week. If possible, please park on West Lemon Street opposite Moravian Manor or in the Warwick High School parking lot. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Our Story

Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank (CPBB) is a not for profit community blood bank incorporated in 1960 by a small group of local doctors and community leaders who recognized the need for an organization to manage the blood supply for the four local hospitals. At that time, area hospitals needed 7,500 blood donations per year to treat their patients. Today CPBB needs over 75,000 blood donations per year to treat local patients in 17 hospitals located in 7 counties in South Central Pennsylvania. The total population we serve exceeds 1.6 million people.
