⚾️ Opening Day for Palmyra Civic Baseball Association ⚾️

Today was such a great reminder of why community sports matter so much 💙

As a proud sponsor, Children’s Counseling Center of Hershey loved being part of a day full of excitement, teamwork, and kids just being kids.

But beyond the fun… youth sports do so much more than teach the game.

They help kids:
✔️ Build confidence and self-esteem
✔️ Learn teamwork, communication, and resilience
✔️ Develop friendships and a sense of belonging
✔️ Manage stress and emotions in healthy ways

Research consistently shows that kids who participate in sports have lower rates of anxiety and depression, improved self-esteem, and stronger social connections.

✨ We’re excited to welcome Dr. Stephan Hohlbaum to our team! ✨

Children’s Counseling Center of Hershey and Hershey Counseling Centerr are proud to introduce our newest therapist and psychological evaluator, now accepting new clients.

Dr. Hohlbaum works with teens (13+), adults, couples, and families, and specializes in trauma & PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and family conflict. He is EMDR trained and also provides psychological testing and evaluation services.

With a calm, thoughtful, and relational approach, Dr. Hohlbaum helps clients gain deeper insight, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with clarity and support.

We are excited to be part of Community Resource Night for Preschool-Aged Families at Noah’s Little Ark Christian Preschool! 🌈

If you have a child ages 3 and up, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with local organizations, gather helpful resources, and enjoy fun activities for kids — all in one place!

We’ll be there representing Children’s Counseling Center of Hershey, along with many other amazing community partners supporting families in Palmyra and the surrounding areas.

They remind us of an important form of self-care: connecting with others.

Life gets busy with school, work, and activities — but for us humans, making time for friends (especially the ones we don’t see often) is an important part of emotional health and self-care — for ourselves and for our kids.

If these two can make time to hang out, so can we 💛

We’re excited to introduce Case Melton, LAMFT to the Children’s Counseling Center of Hershey team! 💙

Case is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with children, teens, adults, and families. He brings a warm, supportive approach that helps kids feel safe, understood, and empowered.

🎲 Play Therapy is one of the many ways Case connects with children—using play to help them express feelings, process experiences, and build coping skills. He also incorporates family systems, solution-focused strategies, and emotion-focused therapy to support lasting growth and healing.

We are thrilled to have Case join our practice and expand the services we offer to children and their families!

Today, we honor and support children and families facing the difficult journey of grief. Losing a loved one is incredibly hard, and children often need extra understanding and support to navigate their feelings. Remember, no child should grieve alone.

We’re excited to highlight our talented therapist, Lucero "Lucy" Eberly, for successfully completing the EMDR program through Monoca Training Center! 🌟

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy technique that helps children and adolescents process and heal from trauma and distressing memories, fostering healing and resilience. 🧠💖

For children and adolescents, EMDR can be especially helpful because it doesn’t require them to talk about every detail of the trauma. Instead, EMDR helps them work through tough feelings safely, building confidence and emotional resilience over time. ⏳

Lucy’s dedication to expanding her skills is inspiring, and we’re so lucky to have her on our team! 👏
