What you’re seeing isn’t dirt — it’s a living parasite. 🔬👂

These are ear mites under the microscope.
They’re tiny, but they can cause severe itching, inflammation, and painful ear infections in dogs and cats.

🚩 Common signs to watch for:
• Head shaking
• Constant ear scratching
• Red or inflamed ears
• Dark, coffee-ground-like debris

Ear mites spread easily between pets, and home remedies won’t get rid of them completely. Proper diagnosis and treatment are key to stopping the infection and preventing recurrence.

If your pet is showing any of these signs, an ear exam can make all the difference.

🎄 Holiday Pet Safety Tips 🐾
The holidays bring changes in routine, new foods, decorations, and guests — all of which can increase stress or health risks for pets.

To help keep your pet safe this season:
• Skip people food – many holiday dishes are high in fat or toxic to pets
• Hide holiday treats – chocolate, xylitol, and raisins can be dangerous
• Secure cords & ornaments – chewing or swallowing decorations can cause injury
• Provide calm spaces – quiet areas help reduce anxiety during gatherings
• Supervise guests – helps prevent escapes and accidental feeding

👉 Have questions or concerns?
If your pet shows signs of illness, stress, or gets into something they shouldn’t, contact your veterinarian promptly.
