Nothing beats a sun-shiny day at Weber's Cider Mill Farm! Residents at Glen Meadows, Glen Arm, MD, and the Community Life team had the best time exploring the market, browsing fresh produce, and treating themselves to Hershey’s ice cream, homemade pies, and juicy peaches.🍦

It’s always special to share these little adventures together! Thank you, Weber’s, for a wonderful outing!

🏊‍♂️ Champions Among Us! 🏅

Kirkland Village residents Charles Einolf (84) and Lee Sample (87) recently made waves at the 2025 National Senior Games in Des Moines, Iowa! 🌟

Both longtime swimmers and friends, Charles and Lee competed against top athletes from across the country—Charles earning two 4th-place finishes in breaststroke events and Lee placing 6th in the 100-yard freestyle. 💪

They train together six days a week at the Kirkland pool and qualified at a meet in New Jersey earlier this year. Their families joined them to cheer them on in this incredible Olympic-style event that hosted over 12,500 athletes from around the world!

Help us congratulate Charles and Lee on this amazing achievement! 👏🎉

What a feast! 🦐🌽🥔 We had a fantastic turnout of 48 residents for our Shrimp Boil, featuring fresh corn, red potatoes, kielbasa, onions, shrimp, and a splash of lemon. The food was delicious, but the best part was gathering together and sharing laughter, conversation, and friendship around the table.

✈️ What a flight to remember!

Edwin and William, residents at Westminster Village, Dover, DE, and proud veterans, took to the skies for a DreamFlight adventure in a WWII-era Boeing Stearman biplane. This once-in-a-lifetime experience honored their service with 15 minutes of pure magic in an open-cockpit ride they’ll never forget.

Family, fellow veterans from Westminster Village, and community team members cheered them on as they soared into the clouds, creating memories as thrilling as their service was honorable.

A heartfelt thank you to DreamFlights for giving our heroes this extraordinary journey! ❤️

👨‍🍳 Chef Greg is at it again … cooking up something delicious! This recent Action Station at Pine Run Lakeview, a personal care neighborhood in Doylestown, PA, featured fried fresh summer tomatoes, and they were a hit.

Residents and team members couldn’t get enough of this crispy, flavorful side dish. Thank you, Chef Greg, for bringing so much flavor and joy to our community table!

Nothing says Labor Day like a good old-fashioned cookout! Residents enjoyed juicy burgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill, along with all the picnic favorites—potato salad, build-your-own-ice-cream-sundae bar, and more. 🍔🌭🥔

It was the perfect way to celebrate the holiday with good food, sunshine, and even better company!

🌿 Wellness in Every Bite! 🍑💜

This month’s Wellness Class at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, was a delicious celebration of health and summer flavors!

Residents enjoyed a hands-on demonstration and tasting of a refreshing Arugula Salad featuring fresh peaches, blueberries, avocado, and cucumber—a perfect blend of color, flavor, and nutrition.

Not only was it beautiful, but it was also packed with nutrients to support heart health, hydration, and overall wellness. These monthly classes are a flavorful way to stay healthy and connected. 🥗✨

Our August Second Sunday Buffet was treat and residents and guests enjoyed every bite! From fresh summer flavors to comforting favorites, the menu was, as always, thoughtfully crafted by our culinary team.

Just look at this mouthwatering line-up:
✅ Summer Salad with fresh corn, strawberries, avocado, and feta in a lemon vinaigrette
✅ Balsamic & Blueberry Glazed Pork Tenderloin with house-made blueberry BBQ sauce
✅ Baked Sea Bass Filet topped with basil pesto and grape tomatoes
✅ Garlic, Lemon & Bacon Asparagus Spears
✅ Stuffed Acorn Squash filled with cranberry, apples, pecans, and brown sugar
✅ Three Cheese Au Gratin Potatoes
✅ Made-to-Order Omelets at our live chef station
✅ And for dessert: Lemon Raspberry Drop Cake or Key Lime Pie!
