Dr. Hartman is a biological/holistic general dentist who believes patients today increasingly take more responsibility for their own healthcare. He knows they tend to be well read, educated by previous dental experiences, and more discriminating in their choice of treatment methods. He has a desire to help health-minded patients achieve optimum wellness. Dr. Hartman wants to teach these patients that much more is known about the interactions between the teeth and the whole body functions, about the negative effects of many materials and about the alternatives that are more biologically compatible than the traditional methods. Dr. Hartman has the knowledge and understands the properties and proper placement techniques required for using more advanced materials. The Smiles for Life health-centered office has compiled educational materials, modern techonlogy and techniques and alternatives to better serve our patients.

While some of us at THD do not enjoy the cold, we DO enjoy the beauty of Creation in December!

We started it out right with the first real snowfall yesterday & our Christmas trees lit up at each office. The lights & snow on trees shimmering like stars to remind us of Christs' birth, the true "reason for the season".

It has been a blessed Freedom Day USA here at THD Altoona! It was a joy to have met some wonderful men & women veterans today! Our hearts are full talking with them, serving them thru dentistry, helping so many that have been on waiting lists for necessary Extractions. Our hygienists served with alot of hygiene Cleanings & xrays.
