As we close out Hospital Week, I just want to say thank you to every member of our team. Caring for our community is both a privilege and a responsibility we never take lightly. Some days are incredibly hard — it’s not easy to work a code, wipe away your tears, and walk into the next room with a smile — but that’s exactly what our people do every single day.
Through the long shifts, emotional moments, victories, losses, and everything in between, we continue to show up for our patients and for one another with compassion, strength, and heart. I’m proud to work alongside people who truly love and support each other like family.
We are also deeply grateful for the support our community has shown during Nursing Week and Hospital Week, and throughout the entire year. Your kindness, encouragement, prayers, treats, and appreciation mean more than you know.
A special thank you to our CEO, Susan Breeden, for standing beside us in both the good times and the hard ones. Your support and leadership are appreciated more than words can say.

During National Hospital Week, we usually spend time celebrating the people who make healthcare so special. Today feels different. Today we laid to rest someone who represented the very heart of nursing and of this hospital.

The stories and pictures of Lisa shared this week remind us of the laughter, compassion, dedication, and love she brought to this place every single day. Her teammates wanted to share a few of those precious memories with you.

While our hearts are deeply saddened by her loss, we are also incredibly grateful for the life she lived and the impact she made on so many of us.

This week, we celebrate healthcare workers everywhere — and especially Lisa. She will always be part of this family. 💙
