I used to hate mornings. They were rushed, wild, chaotic.. trying to get to work by 8, kids dropped off at school/ babysitters, trying to get 1000 things done before leaving the house because I knew I wouldn't want to do it after a long day of work. Only seeing the kids for a couple hours a day because by the time I picked them up it was supper, bath, bed. Then I decided that wasn't the life I wanted anymore, so I quit my full time job, started working PRN and pulled our oldest out of public school to homeschool him. Now we get to start mornings slowly and get to spend days like this. Making breakfast together, morning chores, nature walks, real life hands on education, more time together. Don't get me wrong. Our days are still wild and chaotic, but they're slower. And that is something I will forever cherish.
