Electrical nerve stimulation is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses an electrical current to treat chronic pain. Peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) and spinal cord stimulation (SCS) are two types of electrical nerve stimulation. Using FDA-approved electrotherapy devices a small pulse generator sends electrical pulses to the nerves (in peripheral nerve stimulation) or to the spinal cord (in spinal cord stimulation). Pain Management for back pain consists of identifying the source or cause of the pain through a physical examination and series of tests. The doctor will observe your ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and other physical functions. If necessary the doctor will order additional diagnostic tests like an X-ray, MRI,
CT scan, and/or nerve study. The main objective of all these tests is to better understand your back pain to then provide effective treatment options to treat your unique case of back pain. If surgery is necessary then Pain Management will develop a post-surgery treatment plan to facilitate an efficient recovery. Getting ready for another PRP joint injection! Dr. Przybysz collects a small amount of the patients blood and then he puts it in a centrifuge that separates the blood cells from the plasma, the liquid part of the blood. He then injects the platelet-rich plasma into the injured body part. The plasma contains growth factors that support regeneration and repair of the injured or diseased tissue.

Prolotherapy is a regenerative treatment using a small amount of dextrose solution injected directly into the site of pain. Over the course of several treatments growth, regeneration, and strengthening of connective tissue occurs. Irritant solutions most often contain dextrose, a natural form of glucose normally found in the body, but it may also contain a local anesthetic and other minerals.
