🌊 A Moment on the Journey 🌊
“ I have walked that long road to freedom. I have tried not to falter; I have made missteps along the way. But I have discovered the secret that after climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb. I have taken a moment here to rest, to steal a view of the glorious vista that surrounds me, to look back on the distance I have come. But I can only rest for a moment, for with freedom come responsibilities, and I dare not linger, for my long walk is not ended.” — Nelson Mandela
These words remind us that healing, growth, and freedom are not destinations but ongoing journeys. Along the way, we may falter, stumble, or feel weary. And that’s okay.
There are moments when we must pause—to breathe, to reflect, to appreciate how far we’ve come. These moments of stillness are not signs of weakness, but of wisdom. We steal a glance at the view, we feel the strength we’ve gained, and we remember: we are not the same person who started this path.
But freedom isn’t just about release from the past—it comes with responsibility. To ourselves, to those we love, and to the world around us. And so we keep going. Step by step. Hill after hill. Choosing every day to walk in the direction of wholeness, integrity, and hope.
Take a moment today to rest if you need it. Then take one more brave step forward. 🩵
