Been thinking about sitting with the dying when I was a chaplain recently in hospice care. Never saw myself doing that as a little girl. I sat with the bereaved at my family dinner table every day and death was no foreign concept to my little mind nor was losing people I love to circumstances. I remember my first best girl friend Camille I said goodbye to when my family moved to a neighboring state. I missed her terribly.
Life provided another friend on the other side of change, dear Laurie. The trick is letting go and looking ahead.
Especially when all we see and feel are the dreaded unknown.
We’ve all heard that the only constant in life is change..it’s a profound and necessary part of life. Ive learned that change is more gracefully moved through by actively participating in and seeing possibilities when we feel stuck.
We are overwhelmed by change and want things to go back to how they once were…

Solutions can be uncovered, discovered and we are recovered through creative play and collaboration with reality. With courage to become the best and highest versions of ourselves, we can make any change a beautiful unfolding of life rather than a door closing and abrupt ending.

I’m here to guide you with the process of letting go and reaching for what is next with hope, excitement and wonder! It is possible and life is now. 💜💜💜

This is my son Jordan Smith Reynolds. He won a songwriting competition for ASCAP with the song “Whatever You Plant Will Grow” that he wrote for his daughters. Creative expression is the soul’s greatest joy! I love that I had some part in nurturing that in him.

I am a natural nurturer. I used to balk at this trait as its been reflected to me by others. I judged it as weak and "soft" and lacking gusto, strength and moxie. Now I realize it is one of my greatest strengths and I am really good at it. What has made it even better is to discern what calls for this trait and with whom I wish to share it.
