Start your class with Pranayama Breathing.

Pranayama breathing in OH Yoga is where the practice begins, with deep, controlled breaths that expand the lungs, increase oxygen flow, and awaken the body from the inside out. This powerful technique builds focus, calms the nervous system, and prepares you for the full class ahead.

This technique slows the breath down and creates control by way of the throat. As you inhale, gently narrow the back of the throat to regulate the airflow and deliver oxygen efficiently, drawing the breath in slowly and steadily for a full 6-count - the ribcage expands as the lungs fill completely.
On the exhale, maintain the slow, controlled pace and release the air for another 6-count, matching the inhale. The goal is even, rhythmic breathing—6 counts in, 6 counts out to create balance in the body and mind, warm the body, release tension in the neck and shoulders and prepare for the class ahead.

This technique increases lung capacity, builds focus, and brings a calm, energized state before the physical practice begins.

The Original Bikram Beginning Yoga Class is designed to WORK for all levels, all backgrounds, all students - safely, deeply, and completely.

The full 90-minute class gives your body the time it needs to warm up properly, move through all 26 postures twice, regulate your breathing, elevate your heart rate, and then bring everything back to balance. It’s not just a workout, it’s a full reset for your nervous system, circulation, joints, and mind. ✨

In the full sequence 90-minute class, something magical happens:
• Your body opens safely,
• Your endurance builds gradually.
• You acclimate progressively to the heated room.
