Grave's disease is an autoimmune disorder that causes the thyroid gland to produce an excessive amount of thyroid hormone within the body. Grave's disease may also cause a condition known as Grave's ophthalmopathy in which the immune system attacks the muscles and other tissue around the eyes. This causes inflammation and a build-up of tissue around the eye, which in turn, may cause the eyeballs to bulge out.

👁️ Ever heard of Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)? It’s like upgrading your eyes to a new operating system.

Instead of reshaping the cornea (like LASIK), RLE replaces your eye’s natural lens with a custom intraocular lens (IOL) designed to correct your vision—for distance, reading, or both. 🙌

It's particularly beneficial for people over 40 struggling with presbyopia (the gradual loss of your eyes' ability to focus on nearby objects), and RLE can mean less dependence on glasses and clearer vision for the road ahead.
