We have also cleaned up messy legal situations for our clients, who are now completely free from past trouble with

the law. Clients are given necessary tools to begin or enter back into the work force or schooling. After 90 days of residency, it is mandory that each resident participates in work or education. Sober living is the perfect environment to provide strong support for a sucessful future. We provide basic structure, such as rigorous drug and alcohol testing and offer our clients a warm, family environment. The sense of community at Next Step Recovery, LLC is like no other sober living. We cultivate and nurture our clients’ sense of self-esteem, confidence, joy, and belonging. During the first three months of sobriety, unemplyed clients must attend a minimum of 2 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings a day. This approach is why we have an extraordinarily high success rate of our clients stay sober while at Next Step. We currently service a wide variety of clients all age ranges, diagnoses, and backgrounds. Service Description

There are three components of Next Step Recovery that interact closely with each other, and also with the outpatient service provider, when appropriate. The philosophy of our program recognizes the individuality of every persons’ recovery, providing a residential level of care commensurate with where they are at in life. This unique stage in recovery includes the interconnection of multiple dimensions from vocational, sobriety, intrapersonal relationships, as well as external relationships of the individual to the family and larger social groups. Our transitional living takes into account the needs of the individual and guided by an individualized recovery plan based on a comprehensive assessment of the individual and their family, if appropriate. Next Step One: This is the primary house for clients early in their recovery, set up and staffed for greater supervision. Rules and structure of the house gives new clients early curfew, mandatory job search, transportation to mandatory meetings, and greater training in life skills. While at NS1, clients are encouraged to work with a sponsor, and get commitments in local meetings. Heavier consequences are given to clients that do not adhere to the structure of the house. We see relationships begin to form at this stage as we discourage isolation and encourage fellowship in the house. Next Step Two: The secondary house is the next step in a client’s transitional living. Once a client has an established job, attends regular meetings, keeps up with chores, meets with sponsor regularly, they are given an opportunity to move to the second house. NS2 has slightly less supervision, as most people in the house are employed and beginning their steps with a sponsor and are not subject to the same curfew and restrictions. We see fellowship and relationships really shine at this stage, as clients are comfortable with themselves and each other at this point, often attending meetings and outside events together. Next Step Three: The third house is destination goal of most clients. This house typically has upscale amenities, and a clientele with a solid foundation in recovery. Clients with good job history, significant step work, consistent sponsorship communication and they complete tasks without supervision or request, are able to move to Next Step Three. At this level clients are busy with outside interests, relationships, and hobbies. Their level of involvement is less focused on the house itself as it is about continual accountability, putting into practice all they have learned and NS1 and NS2. They begin to truly enjoy life outside of recovery while still having a rewarding and safe home life. Competitive Comparison

The key to differentiation is to promote and evidence the comprehensive and staged approach at Next Step Recovery. It is clear that there are a myriad of sober livings to choose from, all that include testing and some even offer a structured approach. Our approach is evidenced by our systems in place to provide consistency and excellence in our service delivery. We pride ourselves in our consistency, so that every client gets the same level of care. This detailed and systematic approach will continue to place us ahead of our competitors. When compared with its competitors, the Center stands out in several respects:

Staged Approach: We match each client with a sober living home that is best suited for his or her unique place in recovery. This gives clients the opportunity to grow and challenge themselves in their current place in life and recovery. Testing: We test three times a week, with additional random testing. Our partnerships with toxicology give us unmatched access to lab testing and accuracy. Life Skills: It is our daily task with each client to ensure they are applying necessary life skills such as cleanliness, waking up on time, chores and relationships to their everyday lives, improving wherever possible.

12 Step Based: We not only encourage clients to seek outside meeting and work with a sponsor, we also lead by example, often taking clients to meetings with our staff and helping them get introduced to a strong sober support group. Communication: We work closely with the organizations we partner with. Managers send out daily communication to case managers updating them on client progress, as well as bi-weekly “one on one’s” performed with each client to get an in depth report of where they are at in their recovery. Consistently reaching out to case managers and family members if we see the client struggling in any area.
