Today, I was brought to tears as I watched a video on a young lady's last moments suffering from rhabdomyolysis, before her family and hospital staff sees her away to organ donation.

This video made me look up the disease. It can be caused by excessive exercise while dehydrated, but can also be caused by a severe muscular injury such as a fall from heights, car accident, etc. It causes the muscles to break down, releasing a necrotic protein into the blood stream, that eventually destroys the kidneys.

So, just be careful. Stay hydrated, watch the color of your urine, and stay healthy. If your urine is cloudy, dark, or strange in scent, drink water and seek medical help.
