Meet Antoinnette, an incredible 81-year-old who dedicates her time to volunteering at the senior center. About 2 months ago she felt a sudden pop in her neck, and what started as mild discomfort quickly escalated into unbearable pain radiating into her head. By the time she made it to urgent care, she was in tears—but the long wait left her without answers or relief.

Determined to find help, she scheduled an appointment with us at first thing in the morning. After just one session, Antoinnette walked out feeling night and day better. The limitations that held her back are no longer stopping her. Now, she’s back to doing what she loves—driving, volunteering, and living pain-free!

Stories like Antoinnette’s are why we do what we do šŸ’™ If pain is holding you back, let’s find your Change Moment together.

Octopus Kinesio Taping Technique! šŸ™

The octopus technique uses a specially cut kinesio tape with multiple thin strips branching out from a common base. This design allows for enhanced support, improved circulation, and effective lymphatic drainage over a wide area.

Why use it:
1. Reduces Swelling & Edema: The octopus tape pattern promotes lymphatic drainage by lifting the skin and creating channels for excess fluid to flow out.
2. Improves Circulation: By gently lifting the skin, this technique enhances blood flow, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to the affected area.
3. Supports Large Areas: Ideal for injuries or conditions that affect larger body parts, providing comprehensive support without restricting movement.
4. Looks Awesome!

How to Apply:
1. Prepare the Skin: Clean and dry the area to ensure the tape sticks well.
2. Anchor the Base: Place the common base of the octopus tape near the source of swelling or along the muscle needing support.
3. Spread the Strips: Apply the individual strips with light tension, fanning them out over the affected area to maximize coverage.
4. Activate the Adhesive: Gently rub the tape to secure it in place and activate the adhesive for long-lasting wear.

"Change Physical Therapy was instrumental in helping me return to my sport as a college athlete. Thanks to Josh and Matt's holistic approach, they addressed the imbalances at the specific pain site as well as other local imbalances contributing to my injury. I was able to treat my chronic knee pain that was holding me back from paddling for my collegiate team. Along with the pain relief, Josh addressed other weak points and helped me unlock new strength and stability throughout my entire body. Thanks to Change Physical Therapy, I was able to return to my sport and continue competing." - Omar
