Our bodies change with each changing season. We sleep more during the winter months, as the days are shorter. Spring, Summer, Fall and Late Fall complete the 5 seasons described in traditional Chinese medicine (acupuncture). In addition to seasonal changes, we are in an election season and soon will be in the holiday season.

Trauma is not just something that happens to us individually. Shared, collective experiences—like the events of 9/11—have profound effects on our bodies as well as our minds.

What happens in these moments is predictable: our nervous systems kick into high gear, activating the fight-or-flight response. In that moment, we’re built to survive. But when the traumatic event passes, our bodies can stay locked in survival mode, causing unseen, lasting damage. Over time, these imbalances accumulate, affecting our physical health, work, and relationships.

September 11th is a day that changed us all. The trauma we experienced collectively still echoes in our minds and bodies. But here’s something you might not know: while we may consciously move past traumatic events, the imbalances they create often remain embedded in our bodies, silently causing damage.

Our physiological fight-or-flight response is predictable—it's built into us for survival. However, when we stay stuck in this response long after the threat is gone, it wreaks havoc on our health, relationships, and overall well-being.

People carry trauma, often unknowingly, for decades, and it holds them back from living a full, vibrant life. The negative effects accumulate in the body, but few understand how to unlock the ability to grow and thrive, regardless of their circumstances.

This has become my life's work—to guide people from pain to a better life.

In the upcoming webinar series, I’ll show you how trauma affects your body and how to release its grip to uplevel your health and life.
