Tom is working through Achilles tendinosis—a common overuse condition where the Achilles tendon becomes worn down from repeated stress, often caused by things like increased activity, repetitive loading, or not enough recovery time.
Today’s focus is stability, control, and strength through the entire chain. Lunges on an unstable surface challenge not just the legs, but the smaller stabilizing muscles that play a huge role in long-term recovery.
It’s not about rushing the process—it’s about building a foundation that lasts. Every controlled rep gets him closer to pain-free movement and back to doing what he loves.
