While common, concussions are often complex injuries that can present a wide range of symptoms. The majority of cases can be treated conservatively at home, but some can be life-threatening and require immediate medical attention. When concussion occurs, emergency departments offer fast and efficient care.

Staff and student volunteers representing Community Hospital of Huntington Park showed up on a warm morning Aug. 6 to take part in an event hosted by the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA.

Community Hospital of Huntington Park and our sister Pipeline Health hospital, East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital, recently squared off at Reggie Rodriguez Park for a game of softball.

The fun-filled event of food and competition offered staff members a break and chance to get outside with their colleagues.

Our team, the Huntington Park Bombers, walked away with a 13-8 victory and bragging rights until the November 5 rematch!
