FaithHealth Appalachia, in partnership with Marshall Health Network, has awarded more than 90 organizations across Cabell, Mason, and Wayne counties with life-saving AEDs through its AED Distribution Program! 💓

From churches and libraries to youth leagues and senior centers, these organizations now have the tools and training to respond to sudden cardiac emergencies—thanks to support from Senator Shelley Moore Capito and former Senator Joe Manchin III. 🙌

Each organization received a LIFEPAK CR2 AED by Stryker, known for its ease of use and real-time readiness monitoring, along with training provided by St. Mary’s Regional Heart Institute.

“This initiative represents the power of collaboration and our shared commitment to protecting every neighbor,” said Rory Chapman, Director of FaithHealth Appalachia.

📅 Distribution and training were completed in Cabell and Wayne counties on July 21. Mason County is up next on August 12!

Executive Director, Rory Chapman, had the opportunity to lead the invocation at this week’s City of Huntington Council meeting. Watch the beginning of the meeting video to hear Rory’s invocation and encouragement!

SNEAK PEEK!! 👀🎵⛪️

The all-volunteer choir comprised of talented and beautiful voices from several area churches are hard at work preparing for next week’s Huntington Area Hymn Sing! ❤️

Join us next Sat., July 19 at 6 p.m.(doors open at 5:30 p.m.) at the Highlawn Center at St. Mary’s Medical Center (former Highlawn Baptist Church) located at 2788 Collis Avenue, Huntington. This free event supports the mission of FaithHealth Appalachia, a local non-profit entity dedicated to bringing together caring partners across faith communities, medical facilities, and social services systems to better address health inequities and improve the total wellness of our neighbors.

FaithHealth board member, Monty Fulton, was awarded this week’s Hometown Hero award by WSAZ NewsChannel 3! CEO of the Facing Hunger Foodbank, Cyndi Kirkhart, made it all happen, though anyone would rightly agree Monty embodies the spirit of this award.

FaithHealth Appalachia is what it is and does what it does because of wonderful board members like Monty. We honor and appreciate him!

Thanks to generous supporters, we’re able to provide bottled water to families and individuals who visit the center at Trinity United Methodist Church—especially important during this heat wave 🥵.
