Tomorrow, Friday, December 29, 2023 the Marshall University Minority Health Institute will be doing a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Full Gospel Assembly. Vaccination and Flu vaccines will be available. Valley Health Systems will be doing All vaccinations.

Our Program Coordinator, Connie Priddy, was invited to speak on a National Advisory Board for Opioid Abatement Funds in Washington, DC by invite from Tara Kunkel, former Senior Drug Policy Advisor!

Huntington QRT was asked to partner with The Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI) making us their first partner in West Virginia!

Our community outreach worker works hard to go into the community to give out health promotional materials about COVID-19, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and substance use disorder. We hope to continue working on promoting health equity across our community.

Our outreach efforts continue to expand especially working with the LGBTQ+ community to provide healthy equity to all vulnerable populations within our community. Our staff continues to work hard to bring health education materials to the public as we aim to bring health awareness into our community. We love working with Huntington Pride, and we hope to continue to work with other organizations that are dedicated to serving the people of our community, especially the vulnerable population. If you wish to promote minority health, feel free to reach out to us as we are always looking to expand our reach in order to bring health to everyone.
