When parenting gets hard, don’t pull away—lean in.
At work, when things get tough, we double down. But in parenting, it’s tempting to shut down. To disengage. To hope the phase passes.
But the truth is: when parenting gets hard, we have to parent harder.
That means being more present, not less.
Listening more, not reacting faster.
Holding boundaries, even when they push back.
Having hard conversations, even when it’s uncomfortable.
It means saying:
“I’m struggling to connect with you—but I want to. Let’s work on this together.”
Parenting harder isn’t louder. It’s deeper.
More intentional. More consistent.
And yes—it takes practice. But your kids are worth it.
